Nutrient Maintenance Guidelines

Key Monitoring Points:

  • Nitrogen (N): Monitor leaf color and growth rate. Yellowing leaves may indicate deficiency.
  • Phosphorus (P): Check root development and overall plant vigor.
  • Potassium (K): Observe leaf edge health and overall plant strength.
  • Calcium (Ca): Watch for tip burn or stunted growth.
  • Magnesium (Mg): Check for interveinal chlorosis.
  • Iron (Fe): Monitor for yellowing between leaf veins.

Adjustment Recommendations:

If nutrient levels deviate by more than 10-15% from target values:

  1. Flush system with fresh water
  2. Prepare a new nutrient solution with corrected concentrations
  3. Gradually reintroduce nutrients to prevent shock

Monthly Deep Maintenance

  • Complete system flush and deep cleaning
  • Replace all nutrient solution
  • Inspect and replace any worn equipment
  • Calibrate pH and EC meters
  • Check and clean all filters and pumps
