A state of the art aquaponics system has been setup on the border of the greater Kruger National Park.

Commercial Aquaponics Farm

Hoedspruit, South Africa

The first commercial aquaponics farm in Hoedspruit is now producing high quality fresh produce for the local lodges in the area. This state of the art Ichthys 550sqm commercial system – equipped with media beds, wicking beds, DWCs & verticals the farm has capacity to grow over 8,000 plants per month. In addition geothermal has been installed to help regulate high temperatures in summer as well as a 30m3 rain water harvesting system.

The entire farm is completely off the grid with a 5kW solar system.
